The triennial International Convention took place this past July 27-30th in Denver, Co. Our chapter was well represented as our President, Lenita and fellow board members, David Champion, Ramona Gifford, and Wendy and Julio Sequeira made the journey to the Mile High City.
Our Chapter returned home with many awards, including Outstanding Alumni Chapter of the Pacific Southwest Province, Outstanding Yearbook, Greatest number of SERV hours, and most importantly two newly-minted ACME honorees. Dr. Joanna Nachef, choral conductor, and pianist Anli Lin Tong received their honors at the convention.
The Convention gave all us a chance to catch up with old brothers and sisters, immerse ourselves in the latest trends in music and education, and meet the new collegiate members. We even had the chance to hear the Flying Order of the Purple Funk band!
